Their Favourites - 3 from Lucy and Ian at Gate Street Barn
24/01/2018

Time for round two of 'Their Favourites'.  I've done this the past few years although I'm sure I call it something different each time.  It's a great way to see into the mind of real couple and not just one of a wedding photographer.  Mind you, if you could see into my mind you'd currently see a mind occupied by ski tutorials and the Super Bowl such is the time of year. Lucy and Ian were married this past December at the amazing Gate Street...

Jen and Jamie - Royal College of Surgeons - London
03/03/2016

If you follow the blog you may remember a post I made a couple of weeks ago about Eleanor and Tim's Wedding.  I mentioned that their blast from the past blog post came mostly on the fact that I would be, later that week, shooting the wedding in which they were going to be guests at.  Well...this is it.  I knew that Jen was a Bridesmaid at their wedding.  What I didn't connect the dots on was the fact that they are actually cousins.  Imagine my...

Kate and Max - Winter Wedding in Godalming and Gate Street Barn
12/03/2015

If the first wedding of the year sets the tone for how the rest of the year will pan out then all I can say is "hell yeah!!!!".  The clouds blew in and out and a few sprinkles of rain hit me on the forehead as I stepped across the threshold of The Crown Inn at Chiddingfold.  Its one of the popular 'getting ready' locations for weddings/receptions at Gate Street Barn so I knew it well.  I was only mildly concerned as to what state I would find them...

Victoria and Chris - The Talbot Inn - Ripley
20/01/2015

It's amazing. To me it should seem like Christmas and New Year were only yesterday.  But in reality it feels like a lifetime ago.  Crazy to think was a few weeks can do to your head!  So, join me on a return to 2014 and the wedding of Victoria and Chris at The Talbot Inn in Ripley, just north of Guildford. First I have to declare my interest here.  Vicky is a long standing family friend.  I knew her when she was just a crazy teenager Boyzone...

Nicola and Stephen - Winter Wedding at Nutfield Priory
05/12/2014

It's the most magical time of the year...so said a song once.  For Nicola and Stephen it will be forever magical after getting married in the final weekend of November on what has now become known as 'Black Friday'.  No dodgy TV's or half priced kettles here.  This was an high end affair at the luxurious Nutfield Priory Hotel near Redhill in Surrey.  An early start meant that we were blessed with the best of the day's light.  I love the ceremony...

Kim and Huw - Winter Wedding at Tithe Barn
01/04/2014

Forescore and a few weeks ago, I shot the wonderful winter wedding of Kim and Huw at the deliciously gorgeous Tithe Barn.  It's taken some time to get the photos on the blog.  Owning mostly to my recent move to Petersfield and all the work that it takes to sort that out.  Things you own seem to come out of the woodwork and before you know it, your life has been taken over by cardboard boxes and the smell of bleach.  But this, its true, has...

Katerina and Ben - Winter Wedding at Crewe Hall
30/11/2013

Crewe.  Adding that extra letter makes all the difference.  Land of trainspotting.  A railway town most synonymous with trains both past and present.  But did you know that Bentley also has a factory there.  And according to Wikipedia it is also the UK HQ for Bargain Booze.  Seriously people.  ROAD TRIP! That is exactly what I did last weekend heading up the M40, M5 and M6 to all points North.  Arriving at Crewe Hall is an impressive site. ...

Rebecca and Iain - St Andrews Farnham and Bury Court Barn Wedding
18/11/2013

A picture of calm.  I don't always think that when I arrive at the bridal prep for a wedding but that the first thing that went through my mind on Saturday.  Rebecca is a totally organised being.  Even the night before I got a text to tell me which room she and the rest of the girls would be in.    The first thing I see when I walk is the most beautiful little girl (I'll exclude my own little beautiful girl from that naturally) I have seen. ...

Sarah and Steven - A Big Freeze at Gate Street Barn
25/03/2013

Holy cow...its Spring.  Thing is someone forgot to tell Mother Nature.  Quite honestly, I happily did family groups outside in February.  No one complained.  It was fresh not cold.  Now that its the end of March you would think we would optimistic for warmer weather.  Apparently on the same day last year it was 21 degrees (that's Celsius).  So quite how a year passes and the high was around 2.  Seriously.  I guess on the plus side it was dry...
