Here’s something a bit different from weddings but always worth sharing as its important to know I do more than just nuptials. As well as portrait photography, I also spend quite a lot time helping local business develop images for their online and print marketing. One of those is the Hungry Guest, a top quality delicatessen and farm shop, based in Petworth, selling only the finest foods. Local meats and produce are a cornerstone of the business as well as serving some of the best handmade breads and cakes I’ve ever seen (and tasted). From fresh olives to locally produced beer and ale you’ll find so many unique products under the same roof. They also boast of the finest cheese rooms around which is temperature controlled to ensure the freshest fromage. You can also perch on a chair, enjoy a barista-style coffee and enjoy something from the cakes counter.
Each year they host a number of seasonal tasting events. For this year’s summer event, they went for a street food style party with bespoke producers sharing and selling their products. You could taste local wine and ale, olives, mixers, chocolate as well as sample the bread and fine meat from the Hungry Guest’s own kitchen. Live music and a hook-a-duck added a unique and novel spin to a wonderful evening.
If you’re interested in trying some of the finest food around pop in anytime. The winter/Christmas tasting event is currently scheduled for Friday, 17th November and opens to the public between 6pm and 8pm. I’ll be there, shooting and tasting. There are some lovely perks to this job.
