Emma and Robert

Near the ides of March, in a town and garden in Surrey. Sounds dramatic. It was. Dramatic and happy and lively and fun. All those in one. This is the wedding of Emma and Robert at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Haslemere and a reception afterwards at Ramster Hall near Chiddingfold. I first joined Emma at Bel and The Dragon in Churt. It was a hive of activity with the Bride as well as the Bridesmaids all getting ready in the same room. Add in Mum and a visit from Dad and Brother and before you know its similar to finding out how many college students can fit in a phonebox (answer none...they are all on their iPhones). Next its Our Lady of Lourdes. A delightful chuch in Haslemere with an incredibly accomodating Priest (thank you very much). The building was beautiful and afforded me multiple angles from which to get what I wanted without getting in anyones way. After the ceremony we finally arrived at Ramster Hall. A garden just south of Chiddingfold. The Long Hall (where the wedding breakfast takes place) was built at the end of the 17th century. I want to say Tudor but they don't refer to it as Tudor but as the era ended in 1603 (thank you Google) it would seem it was Tudor themed. Suffice to say its pretty old and pretty amazing. Being March I had assumed the reception would take place in the Great Drawing Room. However, we were blessed with some wonderful sunshine (and warmth) and as such this took place in The Courtyard. After an amazing wedding breakfast (go go Jacaranda) and warm speeches everyone was entertained by traditional jazz ensemble. Good times.
