When any client selects you to photograph their wedding its a honour. Its even more special when that couple have also photographed weddings themselves. Whilst Rowena and Richard aren't full time photographers they done enough to know the pressures and challenges of what a wedding holds. That's a great feeling. After dropping Darren off with Richard I made my way back across Oxford to spend a bit of time with Rowena, her parents and her Bridesmaid. Out of character was my chance meeting with the Best Man who just happened to have crossed my path whilst also making his way to Rowena's to collect the Groom's suit. Uh oh! This might set some folk's world alight. Not Rowena and Richard. Its just a thing. All smiles. Rowena was driven by Dad in the family van. Love it. What a great idea! At the church I arrived to find that Richard had only just arrived as well (the saga of the suit). Before I knew it the ceremony was over and we were all heading across Oxford to the coolest place around. Hill End. An outdoor education centre. This place was perfect for Rowena and Richard. They are earthy people. Members of a group of folks who happily dredge canals. So a funky marquee in a open field is right up their street. Mine too. A barn filled with beer and cake and good times. They opted for a wealth of family speeches all delivered outside. Brilliant idea. Wholesome food, more beer and even a Pizza Van capped off the start to a great evening. Thanks for having us along.
