Orleans House Wedding Photography - Lisa and Michael - April 2010
Below you'll see 77 images from a total of 482.
As a foreigner (that's me) you first learn about 'the river' by seeing the opening credits of EastEnders. You travel to central London and you see it as brown mess with tourists floating on speedy boats being told all about Houses of Parliament. But up river, on a few miles, there is an oasis of cosmopolitan loveliness know as Richmond/Teddington/Twickenham. Suddenly the river takes on a certain sophistication as you pass the bars and restaurants that line the river's edge. The stately homes and contemporary house boats tell a different story to the hussle of Tower Bridge. Here is where our story takes place. The Orleans House gallery with its amazing Octagon Room set the scene for the marriage of Lisa and Michael. A stroll along the gardens and you are back to river and on to the New Southern Belle, our aquatic transport back to Teddington via Richmond. Below deck for speeches is a new thing for me but I enjoyed the experience. After a wonderful sail we moored at Teddington just outside The Wharf where the evenings festivities would take place. As a wedding reception venue its an amazing space with abundant light in the conservatory as well as some interesting modern features. Congratulations to Lisa and Michael for a wonderful day.
