Kelley and Benjamin (or as I call him, Ben) were very brave. They decided to hold a wedding on the 12th of June 2010. Perhaps at the time they didn't realise what they had done. But I can only imagine the look on their faces when the penny dropped many months later. Yes, the had indeed booked the wedding on the same day as England's opening game in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Of course now that England have miserably crashed out with 1 lacklustre win and one crushing defeat its hard to imagine why anyone would care. Hindsight is always 20-20. Instead of running from it they embraced it. With the speeches ending only 20 minutes or so before kick-off they did well to squeeze in a days full of action. From the church in Crondall to the Hook House Hotel. Many thanks to Kelley and Ben as well as the their guests, friends and family alike, who made us feel welcome. Roll on Brazil 2014 -- or not.
