Evan and Holly’s Dad’s Blog

Hi and welcome to my blog. Filled with images from my recent weddings, engagement shoots, portrait sessions and corporate work. Most importantly its a window into my world...a world where family takes an upper hand and I have the images to prove it. Hopefully you'll take a few minutes to browse and once addicted set the blog as a bookmark. If you have any comments please feel free to add them or just get in touch.

For The Record: The images that I put on the blog from recent weddings may not always be the best or even ones you might expect. They are things that I saw, that I like that I want to share. Sometimes they are part of a quirky story or show a tender or ironic side to a wedding.

Aloha – A Testimonial

Sharyn and Mark – An Anglo-South African wedding at Tithe Barn, Hampshire :

tithe barn photographer Aloha A Testimonial“What more can I say but “NGIYABONGA (KAKHULU)” which is zulu, and an appropriate South African way for saying “Thanks (very very very very much)”  Especially for putting up with yet another crazy and energetic bunch of South Africans!

As one of our most important suppliers you ticked every box and it was epic to have you there on the big day. Thank you for being such a charismatic,  funny, entertaining and yet professional photographer on the day, our guests so enjoyed your presence and I have had literally dozens of messages from people saying that our wedding pics are the best they’ve ever seen. Your originality is something that makes you stand out in an industry saturated with bog standard wedding photographers and your photos carry such emotion and feeling. Mark and I can’t stop looking through the photos and remembering how much fun we had on the day. Your talent is huge and seems so effortless and it was just an absolute pleasure to have you (and Darren) there on the day.

Thank you for providing us with a set of first class wedding photos through which we can constantly relive our big day – you were worth every penny and  I will not hesitate to recommend you in future.”

I have already watched the DVD 5 times and I only got back from honeymoon on Tuesday!

Wax Lyrical – A Testimonial

Posted by: | Comments (0)

london wedding photographer Wax Lyrical A TestimonialJoanna and Earl – A London Wedding

What’s most impressive about this short comment is that it came from Earl.  Earl is a man of very few words.  He’s not rude or elitist…simply quiet, reserved and measured.  To get this from him was like getting a thousand words from Stephen Fry.

“Great work Rob worth every penny.  My mother was so pleased with the shots you got and you seem to have caught almost everyone 230+ guests that’s amazing.  Jo searched for 3 months to find the right photographer and boy did she pick right.”

Toot Toot

thumb Toot TootNo, you haven’t walked into a random episode of ‘Chuggington’ but rather a shameless plug and testimonial from a client last June.  Lucille and Richard were married at Clandon Park last year and with the delivery of their album it kind of brought everything full circle.  I was delighted to receive this in an email a few weeks back:

First, Lucille and I are absolutely thrilled with the art book you did for us, it looks wonderful  - we look at it just about every other day as it so clearly captures the spirit and soul of our wedding, in fact all the pictures you took will forever remind us of what a great day we had.  We are both so glad that we were able to have you cover the day, it was a pleasure having you around, doing your stuff, making everyone forget that the lens was there (and making us all look so good).

All of our friends keep saying that they are “the best photos ever…”

Aww…bless.  Obviously I’m over the moon…and even more so that I’ve gotten more than a couple of referrals from them.  Thanks a bunch guys…

If you missed their wedding you can find the blog entry by clicking Clandon Park Wedding Photography.
