Ahh…the lovely Nicola. But she goes by Nikki. Unlike my wife who would crack me over the head for calling her such. What’s the point? There is none. Welcome to my world.
Nikki and Dan were the first of my double wedding weekend. A lovely way to start the middle of September. I joined Nikki and her family at the pub across the road from their church in Chiddingfold…the lovely Crown Inn. Ironic that this was the location for one of my very first weddings many years ago. Things change I guess.
A quick hop across the road (well, she did ride in the awesome VW camper van) to church meant there was no excuse for being late. Of course having 112 bridesmaids all under the age of 14 would give anyone reason to be late. OK, I’m exaggerating. It was still a lot.
Once finished with the ceremony it was back in the ‘bus’ to Ramster. A lovely venue in the Surrey forests between Chiddingfold and Petworth. The sun was warm meaning a lovely break in the courtyard before heading back to speeches (which were first) and the evening reception. A lovely day.
There will be a link to more images after these…so stay tuned and scroll down.
Its all oldy woldy at The Crown Inn
Nice charms :)
The lovely Jill (Gill)
No pressure with the parents watching. Nikki’s Dad spent a few years as a police photographer. No car crash photos this week!
Dan raises the Isle of Man flag
Indeed she is
..it all starts so well…
…before going pear shaped
Thank goodness for the window eh
The love bus arrives
Suddenly Dan’s got the Churchill about him
This is how it starts…soon there’s beer cans and underwear….not a pretty sight
“I thought you had the key”
Inside the Long Hall…its lovely…honest…until they put the Bride and Groom in the DARKEST PART OF THE ROOM!
Sadly, I didn’t seem to make an appearance
Clearly she’s NOT that impressed
You’ll never dance alone

Hannah and John,
Look…you know I love you. No seriously. We have a history. So don’t be offended when I can’t write much. Man my life in overdrive at the moment. So I’ll keep it brief. Hannah, I loved that you mum is a nutter and your Dad ain’t afraid to shed a tear. John, I love that you can play keepy uppy in a room full of expensive antiques. I love that Hannah replaces Helen as the new H Stanton. I love that you guys had a cheesecake and that Helen and Dan had a cake of cheeses. I love that Dan actually believes that Gillette IS the best that a man can get. And on that note….

It seemed an odd time to play Chinese Whispers
Not quite Dire Straits’ walk of life
Dan…I remember you
I really wish I could remember what I said to get that
Tears…but no clown
Funny…I have a similar picture of Hannah and John from Helen and Dan’s wedding
Sometimes Photo Booth’s find you. I found it WAY too ironic that I could use a book case as a backdrop. Olan Mill’s spent years putting people in front of fake libraries. I spent an hour in front of a real one. I love irony.
Clearly his parents were going for a higher Scrabble score
And now a few from Mr Adventure himself….Darren
Now I know what The Weather Girls were singing about!
I love this photo!
Ah…I’m going to really struggle with this Fab 4 thing. Two starts from the blocks and both times I had to go +1. Oh well. John is the brother of Helen. Helen and Dan got married in Dec 2006. I shot their wedding. I’ve since shot Helen and Dan’s neighbours, their friends and now her Brother. Good times.
Hannah waits in eager anticipation of her Dad, recently arrived from Manchester, to see her for the first time
“OK Whitey…I challenge you a game of Angry Birds!”
Doppleganger and a half. Ladies and Gentleman…. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!
Never drink during the meal…otherwise this happens
Hannah and John at Ramster :
“We just wanted to say a huge thank you for our wedding photos. We knew you would do a great job after Helen and Dan’s wedding but the photos have really exceeded our expectations – they are incredible! We have had so many comments from friends and family who are gobsmacked at their quality. They are such a brilliant record of our day – we couldn’t be happier with them. Thank you so much for all the hard work. And everyone loved the dance floor shots of my mum – even her! We managed to get through a bottle of bubbly while watching the dvd slideshow and have watched it countless times since then.”
