Ruth and Rick – Nutfield Priory – Just One
Posted by: | CommentsBeen a while since I did a Just One. But today is a new day. So from Ruth and Rick’s wedding yesterday at Nutfield Priory…here you go.
Do they know its Christmas?
Anthea and Miles – Thrifty 3 – Avington Park
Posted by: | CommentsI’m full of the bingo calls. Just One, Fab Four and for one day only…Thrifty Three. Mine is not a mind to be reasoned. Today’s TT comes all from the prep. Why? Because a) they are the first three I came across being the first part of the day b) it is one of my favourite parts of the day because you can be calculated, creative and insightful and c) its my party and I’ll cry if I want to!
That said, here are a Thrifty Three from Anthrea and Miles’ Avington Park wedding in the rolling hills of Hampshire.
Legally I should be banned from coming within 50 ft of a hanging wedding dress

Emma and Darren – The Compleat Angler – Fab 4 + 1
Posted by: | CommentsWhy does half term always come at the wrong time? With two weddings this past weekend and two next having only one day to work this week due to childcare etc is going to make life a bit challenging. I’m only able to do this because its 6:30am and the kids are with their Grandparents for a few hours. So the big blogs for both weddings won’t come until Thursday.
This was a special one for me. Emma and Nicola have known each other since school…quite when I’m not sure (and she’s not here to remind me). But safe to say at least as long as boys have been interesting. I could really make Emma gasp if I scanned a photo from my own wedding album where you can find her and the rest of the girlies standing outside a church near Guildford nearly 16 years ago. But I won’t — at least for now. So Saturday, whilst a full on working day, was also a day for seeing a few old friends and meeting a few new ones. I sat at a table with my wife and perhaps shot more dancing than I ever have. Of course I also enlisted the help of 3 different assistants. The first being Darren (my Darren, not the groom), the second Darren’s (this time the Groom — how very confusing) son and the mad Jo (of Jo and Vicki fame). In fact, I seem to recall a few taken by Debs as well. Royalties are going to be difficult!
Here’s a few — a Fab 4 +1

Saara and Rob – Hertfordshire Wedding – Just One
Posted by: | CommentsWhen I wake up (oh I know I’m gonna be) each wedding morning I never know what I’m going to get. Forrest Gump was right…weddings are like a box of chocolates. Fortunately for me all of mine are dark chocolate based with a gooey inside with at least one big nut. No, that wasn’t a veiled reference to Rob but if you had seen him dancing wearing his sisters fascinator you could be forgiven for believing so. I can’t stop thinking about chocolate now.
Just One’s are meant to be short so in that spirit let’s just get to picture. Each week I’m always faced with some dilemma. Do I take the easy route and show something that Mum would like? Do I find a perfectly composed, well thought out couple shot? Do I show something a bit more thought provoking…something with a bit of emotion to tug the heart strings? Or do I just go for a Bride with a seriously rumbly tummy gobbing whole wheat bread down only minutes before stepping into the Rolls for her most wonderful wedding day. Oh baby…you guessed it!
Buy why? (cries the mothers of Brides the UK over) Because it was a wonderful moment, a magical tension release, a collective uplifting of all of us in the room. A moment you could never rehearse, coordinate or even plan for. That is, at least in part, some of the idea behind Just One. Want to see more, visit my Facebook Business Page for a full gallery of my favourite Wedding Photography moments.
More photos on the blog tomorrow (I can’t wait).
Even more interesting is the laughing Bridemaid…completely independently they both booked me…we’ll see her in December at Bury Court

Rivaled for my job!
There’s never a bad time for a selfie!
