Clandon Park Wedding Photographer – Liz and Lee
Posted by: | CommentsLife moves on. The volcano seems a distant memory (although I hear there are many people still stuck in places–ugh!) and now the sunshine has gone and hidden. You can all thank me as I had a barbecue yesterday. It was pretty much a guarantee that the weather would break just as the BBQ cover gets taken off. But before the weather changed and the cloud of invisible bits were floating above us there was the little matter of Liz and Lee’s Farnham and Clandon Park wedding to attend to. The first in a double weekend. They were able to deliver a few nice changes. First, a vicar who let me get on with what I needed to do. Second, a man in uniform..I too, even as a straight man, get wobbly when I see Richard Gere walk into the factory in dress whites. Last was the matter of speeches outside. Grand. Thanks for all those guys. It was great to get back Clandon Park. They’ve got some new uplighters and have removed the carpet from the cellar to reveal some wonderful stone work. As for Liz and Lee…I love them. Aww bless. Shame I couldn’t have stayed to see (alleged) dwarf hopping on the dance floor. But then dodgy things do happen in Tom Tit’s Stable (yes…that really is the name of the room where the evening entertainment takes place). One can only imagine the kind of traffic my site will get from Google with the keywords ‘dwarf’, ‘tits’ and ‘Richard Gere’.

Liz realised that only two things come from Oklahoma….oh dear
As Noel says…don’t look back in anger
Circles of confusion
Something that didn’t work that actually did…just for something completel different
Sometimes the WB goes off the scale…and in this case I was grateful
Not nearly as scary as the stairs in The Exorcist (the reason behind many a journey to Washington DC as a teenager)

…I don’t see no horns!
R&R takes on a whole new meaning

Liz laughs. Lee responds…then notices someone givse him the “I’m watchin’ you” thing from Meet the Parents. Actually I don’t really know what was happening…but she did it in EVERY shot. So let’s make lemonade!

BYOH (bring your own herbs)

Mr Biggs enjoying a comfortable life
I love her eyes…and his bald head

Another view of the head…saucy!

To think no one’s head spun round at the end

Lee’s mum blows him an amazing, heartfelt and tear driven kiss during his speech. It was rather irresponsible of him to NOT dispense Kleenex to everyone beforehand
Traditionally I’ve always been a Mary Ann type of guy…but Ginger sure is making me think twice! Link

No, you haven’t walked into a random episode of ‘Chuggington’ but rather a shameless plug and testimonial from a client last June. Lucille and Richard were married at Clandon Park last year and with the delivery of their album it kind of brought everything full circle. I was delighted to receive this in an email a few weeks back:
First, Lucille and I are absolutely thrilled with the art book you did for us, it looks wonderful - we look at it just about every other day as it so clearly captures the spirit and soul of our wedding, in fact all the pictures you took will forever remind us of what a great day we had. We are both so glad that we were able to have you cover the day, it was a pleasure having you around, doing your stuff, making everyone forget that the lens was there (and making us all look so good).
All of our friends keep saying that they are “the best photos ever…”
Aww…bless. Obviously I’m over the moon…and even more so that I’ve gotten more than a couple of referrals from them. Thanks a bunch guys…

Clandon Park Wedding Photography – Lucille and Richard
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s been a few months since I was last at Clandon Park. Back then I was wearing multiple layers and getting frostbite waiting for guests to arrive. Yesterday was a bit different. Hot, sweaty and in need of a drink. No, I’m not describing the Best Man shortly before his speech but yet yours truly. A few margaritas later and I reckon my photography went to the next level…floor level that is. OK, I’m lying, but it was great to be in the warm summer breeze without the sun completely tossing every shot. A bright overcast day and I’m loving life. I started with Richard and the boys at the pub and theme of drinking seemed to carry throughout the day.

How can we dance when our earth is turning?

RamboCam

You’re probably thinking that Mr Collina is the groom….but you’d be….

WRONG! Because I only shoot Grooms in the loo!

Home Sweet Loo!

Guests in waiting

Taking the expression ‘foot in the door’ a little too literally

Gorgeous Bride .. and if you closely balding photographer!

Lucille and her Dad took the slowest walk down an aisle in wedding history. I wish more did the same.

Clandon Park’s amazing Tapestry Room

Apart from being one of the best ceremony rooms in Wedding-dom, its also one that affords me the opportunity to get the first kiss…which is something that often you can’t get (fact)

Richard gets a little too excited over his ring…

…and the best man shows his displeasure accordingly (not really, but its amazing the bull I can spin with still images eh?)

Uh-maise-eng

This is from my “guests shots that could get you killed” range

Nevermind, Lucille found it funny

Ohh…something new for me CP

A wee bit gothic

4000ISO never looked so good

Eye-C-U

Richard speaks

Lucille was kind enough to visit the folks on table 2…the only table with real light

More from Table 2

My two favourite things…abstract photography and alcohol

The Good, The Bad, The Bazen

Hah…no bridal prep and I still get a shoe shot on the blog

Richard found his reaction to the June hayfever a little more severe than first thought

G&MOG

Proof that if I lie on the floor its not to shoot up guests skirts (although that gives me a idea…nevermind)

Posted by: | CommentsYep, check your calendar, it’s March. How quite that happened I’m not entirely sure. Personally I’ve always felt February got the shaft with only 28 days. But its not for me to fight February’s battles. (eh?)
Great things about March:
Evan’s 4th Birthday
The Ides of March (isn’t that some sort of Shakespearian reference)
St. Patricks Day — sadly its all a bit too political here
Daylight savings time
A new F1 season
Wow, my mind is dribbling with useless info. Bet you are glad, huh?
Anyway, had 2 weddings this past weekend. In a change of protocol, what I’m gonna do is post one today and one tomorrow. So, if you’re a blog stalker (you know who you are) do pop in tomorrow afternoon for installment two. I’ve already decided what tomorrow’s post entry will be called….CHOOSE BANANAS. If you want to know why looks like you need to make a date with destiny (or 12:00noon tomorrow).
Lucy and Matt – Clandon Park – Friday February 27, 2009

I lay there, feigning injury and death and they just kept on walking!

Matt checks his watch. Sadly it wasn’t Miller Time just yet.

Look into the light…the pretty, pretty light (TBH, I have no idea)

Nope, still NOT Miller Time

Simon says “put both hands on your knees”

Lucy arrives in style and Dad is still deciding on the great Nile speech

Proud mum

Cuppa tea?

Slightly disturbing the arm protruding from the wall

Wicked light!

See!

Tungsten Love

A set of stairs so cool…

…I had to shoot’m twice

Sultry bride…tick. Sorry, went all Jerry there for a minute (please stop me in future)

Honestly, I’m not entirely sure if I like this…hmmmm

The ladies coo over the lucky one who just got my phone number…..

….or its a 12 week scan. Who knows for sure?

The queue for the toilets was a bit excessive

The end of the line

Clandon Park….the rumours of it being haunted have been categorically proven

This might have been an accident…it was 3000 clicks ago, so who the hell knows
