Claire and Mark – A Fab 4 from Silchester House
Posted by: | CommentsAnother Fab 4. Another quick as melting butter in the microwave post as well. Gotta get all geared, charged and loaded up for tomorrow’s wedding. But I just had to post something from today as I got in earlier than usual and the Mrs is out. So, a few from Claire and Mark’s ‘Spring’ wedding at Silchester House. More on Monday afternoon.
I don’t normally like Fab 4s to include a detail…but I quite like this shoe shot.

Amy and Miles at Wasing Park
Posted by: | CommentsAmy and Miles came to me mostly by accident. When Amy was a child her family met another family on holiday (in Spain I think). They made a connection and through the persistence of the children the families got together again…and again…and again. That family had two children as well. Laura and Lindsay. Fast forward a bunch of years and Laura then becomes Shootinghip Bride Number 1. Basically she is like the ‘godfather’. From her many weddings come. She is responsible for quite a few weddings in the past few years. Something I very grateful for. I’m pleased to say that this time next year I’ll be preparing to photograph Lindsay’s wedding at Lulworth Castle. Its like going full circle.
OK…this isn’t supposed to be about Laura…its about Miles and Amy. Miles is the Diet Coke man. That hunk of a guy that turns up, not window washing in a muscle vest top but rather the IT guy who fixes your problems. You deliberately put viruses on your computer to get him around. Devilish! Amy is the calm one. Thoughtful, circumspect and focused. A picture editor as well (no pressure then). It all comes together in a most remarkable place. Wasing Park. Set in the Berkshire countryside in a private estate it not only boasts two function ‘barns’ but also a church within the grounds. Plenty of accommodation as well. Its a gem. Good friends, loving family. A perfect combination.
I kind of need to get on with my to do list…but I did want to share some images from their day. There is also a link at the end for more images on my Facebook business page. So look, scroll and click at the bottom!

Amy and Miles – Wasing Park – Fab 4
Posted by: | CommentsSince there was little time to anything else this morning before racing off for wedding number 2 of 3 this weekend, I decided to do a quick Fab 4. Miles and Amy were married at Wasing Park in the church on the grounds of the estate. What a fantastic venue! More on Monday.

Louise and Steve – New Mill in Eversley
Posted by: | CommentsThere’s nothing that Berocca and a long things to do list can’t cure. I’m steadily working my way through the backlog of August. This weekend is a blessing and a curse. 3 weddings. Its great to be booked, loved and working — but perhaps the timing could have been different. I don’t reckon it will matter in a month or so…just some great memories from a summer’s worth of amazing weddings!
Here we find Louise and Steve who were married at the New Mill in Eversley. The home of low beams and cars that break down in the ford. Quite apt as I was speaking to a friend who is also a photographer. I told him I was at New Mill. He said “did you hit your head”…”yes, blood and everything”. Did you see the photos of the cars that broke down trying to cross the ford?” .. “No but I did see a car broken down trying to cross the ford”. Reputations exist for a reason.

Emily and James – Elcot Park Hotel – Berkshire
Posted by: | CommentsYes…its been exceedingly quiet the last week or so. Not that I haven’t had 3 weddings but rather we were away in between. A family holiday near Weymouth. So now its catch up time. I have to exercise brevity for the next few weeks. With so many days out of the office with various things I find myself a bit further behind that I would like to be. I’m chomping on that elephant…one bite a time. But some things have to give. So, for Emily and James, here is a taster of their day. A little snippet to carry them through.

Wedding Photography Wasing Park – Kate and Richard – Fab Four
Posted by: | CommentsOK. Its been a weekend of added pressure. As you will read (or have read) in my previous post, I shot the wedding of someone who had a wedding photographer as a Best Man. Tough. Today it gets even closer to home in I shoot the girl next door. Technically Kate no longer lives next door but she still babysits the kids on a number of occasions throughout the year. The kids have seen ‘nice Kate’…and ‘cross Kate’…’get your but to bed, I’m telling your parents Kate’. I didn’t really want any of those ‘Kates’. This was my first trip to Wasing Park. I had seen a few other galleries of images but until you visit a place you never really know. I’m pleased to say its great. Well thought out, great spaces both inside and out. It only falls foul of the Health and Safety curse…that being exit signs, warning signs — basically just about every sign imaginable everywhere. But then…where doesn’t?
As with all of my recent weddings I’m posting a Fab Few then backing it up with a few more that were still Fab, but didn’t fit my rather cryptic method for determine the Fab Few. These can be viewed at the Facebook Preview Gallery.
