Most wedding mornings you wake up and think casually about the day ahead.  A wonderment of expectations…wondering what the light will be like, the people, the weather.  Then there are the morning you wake up and realise…”holy biscuits, my Mother in Law will be there today”.  I’m led to believe that Sarah and Alex kind of found me independently of the family connection.  Although I’ve know Alex’s parents for many years I’ve never actually met Alex or his sister Claire.  I’m guessing I got secret shopped at the Loseley Park wedding fair back in February.  Never a bad thing.  The most important thing for me when working with people, family, friends that I know is that have to get me…get what I do and love it.  Otherwise its never going to win.  Fortunately for me, it worked out that they did (do) and everyone can rest easy…that is except for mum in the curlers.  She really had that coming!

Today’s wedding starts in Godalming at the Unitarian Chapel.  It was my first Unitarian service…a bit like a religious service, without the religion and based on the feel good factor.  We stopped off a local haunt on the way back to The Pride of the Valley in Churt.  A remarkably hidden gem in the forest west of Hindhead.  Ironically it seems to be a popular stop for folks getting married or attending weddings at Cain Manor.
