Anna and Oliver’s Waterside Wedding in Rutland
Posted by: | CommentsI feel as though I should at least know how to tie a nautical knot in order to post about this wedding. Not that we really saw that much in the way of sailing but given its location, it would seem to make sense. What I love about weddings…and in particular my clients…is that they are always trying to find new ways to define their own weddings. Some folks may do this with details, others transport and some location. Whatever they do, its individual to them and a testament to their creativity. Anna and Oliver certainly fit into the segment well. For instance…why not hold a wedding ceremony where there are NO seats. Second, transport a large number of guests from the ceremony to the reception in a London double decker Routemaster bus….in the East Midlands. Third, erect a marquee with only three sides and look out on the gorgeous Rutland Water (the largest lowland man made reservoir in the country…apparently). Fourth, dispense with table plans, provide enough seats for most of your guests, get a 200lb pig and let nature take its course. Finally, hire in some body zorbs and let the fun begin! Put it all together and you’ve got Anna and Oliver’s Wedding Unplugged. A salute to the smiles and spirit of themselves as a couple. Sweet!
