Sharm El Shark
Posted by: | CommentsLuckily we haven’t seen a single shark…or a deposed leader as well. But I will say there are a number of blokes hanging out in various rooms in our block…and since they arrived we’ve had more security. Just sayin’.
Its time (and almost finished) for our yearly holiday abroad. Since Evan started school its been Easter time. Perhaps the time I least need a holiday. I really need a holiday in November but its not exactly ideal with school aged kids. So here we are, in the sun and sand of Egypt.
Yesterday we snorkelled in the Red Sea. Its such an amazing experience. Even Evan (say that 10 times fast) did a ‘dive’. He was very pleased with himself. He’s also taken to the kids club with ease. A small wobble on the first day (“I don’t want to go”) and since then he’s been to 18 sessions…some days three in a row. So pleased? you betcha.
Not much time now till the Dolly wakes up from her daily afternoon nap and we meet the other two at the quiet (aka warm) pool. But here are a few photos…all taken with the Panasonic GF 1.

Round the House
Posted by: | CommentsJust a few pics of the kids from a few weeks ago. I shot these in JPG so the colours are bit ‘strong’ — well, the colour ones are.

It was, in fact, her decision, to put Mr Potato Head’s glasses on ‘baby’

Baby and iPad…an unstoppable duo!
Lego hell!
Hands off ‘Baby’ .. Grandad

She has the X-Factor
Tickle, tickle

If you are wondering why I don’t get as much of Evan these days…its because he keeps playing ‘hard to get’

Solitaire Secret Weapon
Posted by: | CommentsMy wife’s vice is solitaire. If she comes anywhere within a 2 meter radius of computer and she has to have a game. She was most disappointed when we switched to Mac a few years ago. It doesn’t come with Solitaire as standard. Yes…I actually bought it. Today…she found her secret strategic weapon!

Two
Posted by: | CommentsStrictly not true…in fact, she won’t be two until Wednesday. But yesterday was Holly’s 2nd birthday party. Mind you, at two I don’t really think she ever realised that it was all for her. Nicola will tell you that the party was probably more for Nicola than Holly…something about this being our last child etc etc. She did (Holly, not Nicola) however, have a great time. We can already see how her parties will be much different to Evan’s. Bouncy castles replaced by music leaders and dance instructors. One of the older sisters of the crew who turned up yesterday will be 6 in a few weeks. When asked what she was doing for her party the answer was “having a makeup session and dinner at Pizza Express.” Wow…they do grow up fast.
Preparing with a sticker session

Yeah..I know its all wrong…but I’ve been looking at a lot documentary war photography so it works for me

The older brother crew…bowled over as you can see!

New Years Tradition
Posted by: | CommentsIts become a family tradition to walk across Elsted Common (near Midhurst). If you can count three years running as a tradition. It seems a lifetime ago since the first time we ventured there the month before Holly was born. This time we had two in tow and the inlaws dog as well. My how life has changed. Evan is growing by leaps and bounds. According to the door marks, around 2 inches since May. His imagination has come along with him as well. Holly, in her unique way, continues to infuriate as well as enchant us. Her very determined ‘No’ or ‘No-uh’ is unique but then hearing her sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ at random intervals is spine tingling. Happy New Year everyone.

Bakin’ Buddies
Posted by: | CommentsChristmas cookies with all the trimmings. Its that time of year when Evan is keen to bake and Holly is keen to eat the decorations. Naturally I sit in my office and listen to the bun fight only to escape briefly to take a few pictures.
