We actually went last week, but here are a few images from our recent trip to Fishers Farm. If you’ve got kids under 8 (maybe 10), its a fantastic place to make for. We had amazing weather and a great day.

Oh dear…Friday the 13th. It hadn’t even entered my mind until now. Please dispose of your hockey masks and axes at the door!

Holly takes more of the coverage this week. She is very pushy in my defence. She is constantly walking into my office, pointing at my screen and say “see pictures of Holly please”. All very cute…but when I go near her with a camera she turns away and acts all coy. What a diva!

I’ve been wanting to put a bit more family stuff on here…after all the entire blog was started over 6 years ago and back then, it was all about Evan. I’m going to try to put up something every Friday. Family Friday #ff if you will (I can hear all those twitterers going bananas as I just stole their hash tag). These photos were all taken on my iPhone using Camtastic. If you want different photos (read that as they look Photoshopped to death — and on an iPhone, that’s not necessarily a bad thing) the Camtastic is fabulous tool. I used to love (and still do) Hipstamatic…but its just too damn slow (and I wonder how much of that is intentional).

Sharm El Shark

Luckily we haven’t seen a single shark…or a deposed leader as well. But I will say there are a number of blokes hanging out in various rooms in our block…and since they arrived we’ve had more security. Just sayin’.

Its time (and almost finished) for our yearly holiday abroad. Since Evan started school its been Easter time. Perhaps the time I least need a holiday. I really need a holiday in November but its not exactly ideal with school aged kids. So here we are, in the sun and sand of Egypt.

Yesterday we snorkelled in the Red Sea. Its such an amazing experience. Even Evan (say that 10 times fast) did a ‘dive’. He was very pleased with himself. He’s also taken to the kids club with ease. A small wobble on the first day (“I don’t want to go”) and since then he’s been to 18 sessions…some days three in a row. So pleased? you betcha.

Not much time now till the Dolly wakes up from her daily afternoon nap and we meet the other two at the quiet (aka warm) pool. But here are a few photos…all taken with the Panasonic GF 1.

New Years Tradition

Its become a family tradition to walk across Elsted Common (near Midhurst). If you can count three years running as a tradition. It seems a lifetime ago since the first time we ventured there the month before Holly was born. This time we had two in tow and the inlaws dog as well. My how life has changed. Evan is growing by leaps and bounds. According to the door marks, around 2 inches since May. His imagination has come along with him as well. Holly, in her unique way, continues to infuriate as well as enchant us. Her very determined ‘No’ or ‘No-uh’ is unique but then hearing her sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ at random intervals is spine tingling. Happy New Year everyone.

Christmas cookies with all the trimmings. Its that time of year when Evan is keen to bake and Holly is keen to eat the decorations. Naturally I sit in my office and listen to the bun fight only to escape briefly to take a few pictures.

After more than a few days of hearing about blizzard conditions and a complete white-out in many parts of the UK I had started to believe that it was all a conspiracy. A great big fabricated lie designed specifically to annoy me given that I managed to secure a sledge exactly a week after all the snow melted last January. But this morning I discovered it was all true. 10 glorious inches of powdery white stuff fell upon my garden (and, thankfully, the gardens of everyone around). Its time to sledge!
