Archive for Rivervale Barn
Trying to stay true to my word, I’m back again with a few more images from Lisa and Scott’s Rivervale Barn wedding. This time with added Darren (like Red Bull, only given in small doses).
Hey…I’ve also uploaded all of these images, all the images from Part 1 and a few more which didn’t appear in either on my Facebook preview gallery. Like a found recording of a lost Beatles session. OK, maybe not. But you can be me Yoko Ono.
Shanks and the dress…of course that means nothing to anyone except me. Ohh…mysterious.

I did say I would post what happened just before a similar shot in the last post
Surely there are at least two left feet in there

The CDC list Lisa laugh as highly contagious

The Best Man smiles, Mum claps and Dad holds on firmly to his imaginary friend

My Just One…honestly, become a fan!

Holly saw this and just starting screaming ‘ake, ‘ake
I like the similarity of the Just One shot above. Get it?
And now a few from Darren
Talk to the hand

I think the imaginary friend might have overstepped the mark

A wicked accident!
Don’t forget that all the images on both posts plus a few more are now on my Facebook preview gallery.
Part 1 of a selection of wedding photography from the beautiful Hampshire venue Rivervale Barn.
Yes…that’s right. Part 1. I don’t know, just felt like tossing it up a bit. Variety is the spice of life apparently. So that’s what I’m doing this week. Besides, there will also be some of Darren’s images in Part 2. Well worth coming back for.
This was my first visit to the Rivervale. Amazingly secluded yet right in the thick of it, not far off the A30 and very near to home. A nice combination. In fact any venue where any motorway can be avoided on a Saturday is news to my ears. Rivervale Barn didn’t disappoint and I would be keen to work there again in the Spring or Summer to get a different view on how light affects it.
Lisa and Scott (or ScottSteve as I began to affectionately call him) are two awesome and down to earth people. I think, and this is only my guess, that the general rules are bit reversed in their situation. She’s the loud funny one and he’s the quieter and more circumspect. She did, in a previous life, play the Euphonium. As a Trombone player I can tell that Euphonium players are generally mad. Lisa does not refute this in any way. ScottSteve is the mad scientist. The Dr Emmett Brown of the family (minus the hair and the 88mph Delorean). No matter how you dice them up, they are two genuine folk who I really enjoyed spending the day with.
Here is part 1 of the Scott and Lisa at Rivervale Barn.
Star of ScottSteve

Now would be a bad time to notice you missed a loop
A tender moment? Sisterly bond? Or simply did the tit tape work?
loovley
Hah…you wait until I show the preview frame in the next post!
Despite Scott’s most intense wishes it wasn’t the Queen on the other end of the line
Ohhhhhh (yeah)
Bless…
My dear…Rivervale (at least this winter wedding) gets a super thumbs up for ceremony light! Sweet!
Lisa clearly agrees

Where’s the rest?
Excellent shadow detail…
Oh yeah…that’s why :)

Thinking thoughts…mostly unclean it has to be said
Rivervale Barn set up for a wedding breakfast
Night in the ruts
What did anyone ever receive in one of these so called receiving lines?
Oh the pressure…when they actually email you weeks before and say ‘we love the photos you have taken with funky clouds and sky..what chance of getting one like that in November’ (tick)

Stay tuned for more later this week in Part 2. Thursday I reckon.
A veiled reference to My Cousin Vinny? An abbreviation of euphemism? Or simply recognising my fellow sister of the low brass brotherhood. Yes, indeed I can reveal that Lisa is a former euphonium player. Some of my best friends were euphonium players. This does hark back to my days as a musician in which I was the annoying bloke with the slide trombone destined to empty his spit valve on the jumper you left under the chair in front of me.
Today’s Just One comes from Lisa and Scott’s wedding at Rivervale Barn near Yateley, Hampshire. This was my first trip to the new jewel in the Hampshire crown of wedding barns. Here’s a teaser with more in the week.
