More catching up…this time the wedding of Charlotte and Adrian. Its another blindingly fast post. So fast that I can’t even add my quirky comments. Today its all about the pictures. Adrian and Charlotte were married in Sway with a reception in Charlotte’s family home just down the road. A very personal affair. Congratulations to you both. I will keep you updated.

Aaron or Aaron? Yeah, but you said Aaron. Yeah, I know, Aaron. No, not Aaron…AARON. This carried on for about 3 minutes. That being a conversation between Ashley Riggs (the fabulous DJ I often work with at Tithe Barn), Darren and Myself. I’m still baffled as to what the hell was going on. I think they had a point, but I’m not sure what it was!
Rain. There seemed to be a hell of a lot of coming our way. In fact, as I crossed Butster Hill on the way to Emsworth I had to slow to 50 and put the wipers on full speed. It was biblical in its proportions. I figured that was that, it was going to be a wet one! Thank goodness I was wrong. The rain stopped by Horndean and never returned the entire day despite the rather ominous forecast put up on my weather app on the phone.
Alex and Aaron (Aaron or Aaron) are a wonderful couple. I had the joy of spending a few hours with them a few weeks ago for an engagement session. Highly pragmatic and very down to earth. I hope that they see the compliment in that. They are also a bit of an opposite. She’s in ‘insurance’ (whatever that means). He’s an officer in the Army. He did tell me the regiment. The Queens Best Knickers Royal Battalion 2.0 — or maybe I misheard him. Whichever company he keeps I can tell you I have so much respect for him, his colleagues and everyone in the armed forces. Quite amazing the stuff they do, what they put up with, the job they do. So despite my rather awful attempt at comedy in the regiment name BIG RESPECT!
As for images, well…I’ve got a few. My time comes in waves. So here are a few from yesterdays Tithe Barn wedding in Hampshire:

Mum and Dad’s room – something the ponder each morning!
The lovely in the bottom right is also the lovely in the bottom right – 24 years later!
Why do I like this? Easy. I approached the kitchen where a bunch of folks were hanging out. She instantly dashed into the hall saying “I don’t do photos”. Red rag, bull. Then she stood in just the perfect spot….that’s why!

Raise your hands if you think the photographer is HOT! (OK, I’m embellishing here)

I beginning to really love this kind of shot. I haven’t totally figured out all the physics involved yet (sorry dad). Should I spot colour the bollards?

One of my favourites from the day!

The Guiness people were on hand to award him with the Tallest Groom ever award
Really Alex…that Guiness thing wasn’t that funny

Once again, the question…raise your hand if you think the photographer is HOT

And a Few From Darren!
Flipping fantastic Darren!

Its not a Just One…its not a Fab 4. Its not anything that I can label…just a few images for Catherine and Paul to chew on for a while. Its all gone mental here and with a Father/Son camping trip starting tomorrow its not going to get any less so. So, I’m afraid it may be a while before a full blown blog/Facebook combo will appear.
For the record Catherine and Paul were married at a wonderful CofE church in South Harting…just down the road from Tithe Barn. Fabulous church if you’re into amazing small church architecture. Interesting facts about them…Catherine runs her own floristry business and she did all the flowers herself (with help from mum of course). Paul is Scottish and apparently has never had a deep fried Mars bar (which he claims may not, in fact, actually be Scottish).

Catherine’s Dad stood by as I balanced her bouquet on the studio window ledge. We were both experiencing an elevated heart rate. The picture bottom left is Catherine aged approx 4. Bless.

It is, in fact, the Arch Angel Gabrielle hanging in silhouette in the window behind NOT the Blair Witch Project

Right…at first I didn’t like this. But somehow this has gone from nearly deleted to a sneaky fave. There’s C&P, 2 flower girls, a page boy, one of Paul’s Scottish Aunties, one of Catherine’s Uncles and a few friends…all in one image. Its a keeper for me.

See…I told you I wasn’t shooting Pam!

Let me just start by saying. HELLO AUGUST! And with August comes the real crazy season. Balancing life and weddings is easy…until that life is on summer holiday. The next 4 to 5 weeks is mega. From time away to weddings, its all turned up to 11. I’m in the office, I’m out of it, I’m spending time with Evan and Holly, I’m shooting weddings, I’m visiting friends in Devon. You name it, I’m doing it. So things are going to be a) delayed…not a massive amount, just a wee bit and b) some things gotta give. Last year I created Fab 4 just for this month. I feel bad not doing full blown blog posts. But I’m afraid its the way of the week this week. So I’m doing another 4 image selection with a link to a bunch more on my Facebook Business Page. I imagine Emily and Pete won’t mind. They get to see some images either way.
Emily and Pete were married at the wonderful St Mary’s Buriton. An old church but a new vicar. Well, saying that, he’s actually the vicar at St Peter’s in Petersfield but Judith was away. So in steps Will. Afterwards it was over to Tithe Barn at Ditcham. A haunt I know very well. I’m pleased to say the weather was kind, the guests were happy and the dancing was excellent.
Digest these and look for the link at the bottom of the post for more!

Ah yes. Tithe Barn. The scene of many of my most interesting crimes. Its been a few weeks since I set foot on it hallowed ground but just over a week until I return…twice. This week its Emily and Pete. A nurse and a teacher. Two people our country relies on. Respect. Look out for more from Emily and Pete’s Tithe Barn wedding at the END of next week.

I’m afraid that the next few blog entries will be image rich (which, when you think about it makes sense). Conversely it won’t be word rich. I’ve got buckets to get through with three weddings last weekend, a portrait, an engagement, Evan’s Sports Day and two more weddings this weekend. So allow me a bit of brevity on the literary front. In fact, let’s pretend its a tweet.\
