Its a castle Jim…just not as we know it. Well, actually it is. Its got a bridge and big walls. Henry VIII used to party there. No seriously…big parties. Drum and bass, dubstep. The lot. He even watched the Mary Rose sink there (which is probably a lie because after all didn’t it sink rather conveniently in the Historic Dockyard. I won’t be taken for no fool (you must say that like BA from The A Team BTW).
What Ye Olde Southsea Castle did have have was the wonderful, heartfelt, love filled wedding of Nina and Simon. To keep with the theme even that’s not entirely true. Because they were ‘actually’ married earlier in the day at the Portsmouth Registry Office. I got to see the wonderful blessing which even included beer. I know which one I prefer!
Honestly, I can’t chat much now. Its crazy mental in Chez Burress. But for now you can view these images plus there’s a link to Ye Olde Facebook at the end of this post!
