Birmingham Wedding Photography – Heidi and Simon – Fab Four
Posted by: | CommentsA growing backlog has pushed me back to Fab Fours. You still get all the fun of the extra images on the Facebook Preview Gallery, just a little less wit and wisdom (or mindless chatter as most people call it). Heidi and Simon were a referral from Heidi’s sister, Kerry. I shot Kerry and Paul’s wedding back in 2007. I remembered so much about their day….everything except how Kerry (and by default Heidi’s) dad is one bad-a** public speaker. I used to say his was one of the best FOB speeches I had every seen/heard. Now I have to say it was two of the best.
Don’t forget the Facebook Preview Gallery for loads more images:

Dulwich and Eltham Palace Wedding – Stephanie and Jonathan
Posted by: | CommentsLondon….concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Or was that New York? Someone should really do a London version. Speaking of which have you seen the Newport version. Me love Dulwich. Its in London and you can park. Go figure. I kind of described the wedding, its awesome vicar at Christ’s Chapel and the wonderful Eltham Palace on the Just One post. So its a bit redundant to do it again. What I will say is that I (in fact, we) loved being a part of the day. Some great folks who had a great time. It was great to see Lucy and Matt (who had their wedding a year ago to the day — well Saturday). Thanks again to them for recommending me.
As usual, there are loads more images on the Facebook Preview Gallery.

Settling down to a good book
She’ll probably kill me for this…but I’ve always wondered why girls fan themselves a crying prevention method. Strangely, it seemed to work…so much so….

I almost never include both a colour and black and white of the same image in a set of photos…but this one is an exception. Naturally I’m not actually showing you the colour here…but it will be in the Facebook Preview Gallery

Wedding Photographer Buxted Park – Milly and Ben
Posted by: | CommentsThis weekend, when out riding my toy horse, I found myself at Banbury Cross. There I met a lady with rings on her fingers and bells on her toes. She bragged she had music wherever she goes. I told her I had 64gb iPod and challenged her to a duel. But when we both agreed that Olly Murs sounds too much like Will Young we let it go and drank to Absinth friends.
Naturally this has little if nothing to do with Milly and Ben’s Sussex wedding at Buxted Park. A delightful venue for a delightful couple. So it is the fourth of the Guildford High (it was Guildford right…not Woking) girls. Ben and Tori, Rupes and Jenny, Charlotte and Martin and now Milly and Ben. You may remember these two from their engagement session last fall. No elevators or car parks this weekend (bummer).
As usual these days, you can see a few more photos on the Facebook Preview Gallery….

Eltham Palace Wedding Photographer – Stephanie and Jonathan – Just One
Posted by: | CommentsTravelling to London during a Papal visit is no mean feat. Thankfully I stayed far enough south and east to avoid most of the hoopla. I started in Dulwich. One of the few bits of London I reckon I could live in. I suppose because it feels like a village. I reckon affording it would be a different prospect. I mention Dulwich mostly because of the most wonderful chapel, Christ’s Chapel and our vicar for yesterday’s wedding, Anthony. What a top chap. Recognised that experience professionals know what to do and let us act professionally. Can I ask all photographers who read this blog to stand up and salute him NOW!
Today’s Just One comes from Eltham Palace. After trudging through the whole of south London and eventually arriving at Eltham I felt that this would not be a place I would hanker to return to. Not because its not beautiful. Not because there aren’t some fantastic places for folks to be in which means great photos. Just that trawling south London often would, literally, send me over the deep end. Then we left…and by golly its only 6 miles from the M25…and quite a few of those are a dual carriageway with no red lights. Suddenly I can’t wait to get back to Eltham Palace!

Buxted Park Weddings – Millie and Ben – Just One
Posted by: | CommentsFrom crazy lighting to shabby chic people the Just One has always been about something that struck me. Today is no different, but in a completely different way. Today is all about elegance, sophistication and a chance to be one of the wicked high-end watch company ad photographers. So here you go…the Just One.
Ben lurks in the background…he’s probably just looking for an opportunity to steal the watch
