London Wedding Photographer – Joanne and Earl – Fab 4 + 1
Posted by: | CommentsI really didn’t like calling Earl, Earl. You see, my brother in law (sister’s husband) is called Earl. No one, except his mom, calls him Earl…and to be fair she actually calls him Junior. So for an entire day, every time the word ‘Earl’ came out of my mouth I was expecting a correction. Then again Earl called me Robert all day. The only person who ever called me that was my mom too. Usually when she was angry.

Today I seemed to gravitating to the dark and moody. Not sure…must be the dull weather.

Me love windows at top of stairs (to the side of course)
Get out the Geiger counter…those flowers are radioactive!
I smell a law suit from the mad Armenian coming on!
There’s a Bride and Groom in there….honest!

Wedding Photography Wasing Park – Kate and Richard – Fab Four
Posted by: | CommentsOK. Its been a weekend of added pressure. As you will read (or have read) in my previous post, I shot the wedding of someone who had a wedding photographer as a Best Man. Tough. Today it gets even closer to home in I shoot the girl next door. Technically Kate no longer lives next door but she still babysits the kids on a number of occasions throughout the year. The kids have seen ‘nice Kate’…and ‘cross Kate’…’get your but to bed, I’m telling your parents Kate’. I didn’t really want any of those ‘Kates’. This was my first trip to Wasing Park. I had seen a few other galleries of images but until you visit a place you never really know. I’m pleased to say its great. Well thought out, great spaces both inside and out. It only falls foul of the Health and Safety curse…that being exit signs, warning signs — basically just about every sign imaginable everywhere. But then…where doesn’t?
As with all of my recent weddings I’m posting a Fab Few then backing it up with a few more that were still Fab, but didn’t fit my rather cryptic method for determine the Fab Few. These can be viewed at the Facebook Preview Gallery.
Look at those leaves…you’d think it was October!

Dunston Hall Wedding Photos – Sharon and Paul – Fab 4
Posted by: | CommentsOK…its a complete lie. This Fab 4 rubbish. Once I go past one I can’t stop. Its like opening a can of Pringles. I should have called it Fab Few.
High pressure situations. Think of a few. A pilot landing a plane with the Queen on board. Pole Position at Silverstone. Surviving the audition rounds of the X-Factor. All carry their own heart racing characteristics. You might think shooting the wedding of another wedding photographer would be a pressure situation. I’ve done it many times so I’ve dealt with that. However, shooting the wedding of a ‘normal’ couple (if I can refer to Paul in any way as normal) who have a Best Man who is a wedding photographer. Crikey. That’s a bit of pressure. What if that photographer is someone you call a friend…a contemporary. Someone you share ideas with. Someone who your 5 year old son calls ‘Uncle’. Bloody hell. There’s a lot riding on that. Add on the fact that his other half is ALSO a wedding photographer. Two people, you look up to in a industry you work in at the same wedding, great friends of the couple…all in one day. What the hell was I thinking?
You can, if you wish, view a few more images on the Facebook Preview Gallery. So scroll through these, then pop back up and link away!
I think in that dress the Wizard should be off to see her!
Bono…thanks for making the effort (just a random guy…ok, not random, he’s a guest, funny that I called him Dermot all day as he more resembled Mr O Leary)
Tony Soprano is scared of that guy

Just to keep things real I asked Uncle Bob to stand just under my light stand. Its good to be earthy.

Ramster Wedding Photographer – Hannah and John
Posted by: | CommentsHannah and John,
Look…you know I love you. No seriously. We have a history. So don’t be offended when I can’t write much. Man my life in overdrive at the moment. So I’ll keep it brief. Hannah, I loved that you mum is a nutter and your Dad ain’t afraid to shed a tear. John, I love that you can play keepy uppy in a room full of expensive antiques. I love that Hannah replaces Helen as the new H Stanton. I love that you guys had a cheesecake and that Helen and Dan had a cake of cheeses. I love that Dan actually believes that Gillette IS the best that a man can get. And on that note….

I really wish I could remember what I said to get that

Tears…but no clown

Funny…I have a similar picture of Hannah and John from Helen and Dan’s wedding

Sometimes Photo Booth’s find you. I found it WAY too ironic that I could use a book case as a backdrop. Olan Mill’s spent years putting people in front of fake libraries. I spent an hour in front of a real one. I love irony.
Clearly his parents were going for a higher Scrabble score

Now I know what The Weather Girls were singing about!

I love this photo!
Wedding Photography at Painshill Park – Hayley and Brett
Posted by: | CommentsHayley and Brett,
I hope you are enjoying your extended honeymoon. Just a quick note to say thanks for having us along to your Cobham and Painshill Park wedding a couple of weeks ago. I loved Painshill and hope I get a chance to go back. Thanks for selecting a church with a professional vicar…one who let’s us do our job. Very refreshing. I loved how the girls arrived in a vintage bus and that the Bridesmaids had individual dresses. I loved how nervous Brett looked and the fact he had 4 Best Men. I loved Hayley’s dress…we arrived at calling it pinstripe (when it clearly wasn’t). I found it interesting that no one could every find Hayley before she got her dress on. I’m sure she can teleport! I loved how important your friends and family are to you. I also loved that Tentipee. What a great idea…or was it? You’ll have to fill me in. Here are a few more images from Hayley and Brett’s Painshill Park wedding in Cobham, Surrey.
Signs, signs, everywhere there’s signs
Popcorn AND a movie!

Oh…this is what I had planned. You HAVE to believe me (we call that foreshadowing in the business)
The wheels and the bus ACTUALLY do go round and round

Foreshadowing revealed. I left this shot in their final set. I can’t actually remove an entire refuse truck. Oh the irony. What’s more, once he finally rolled off the intersection (he was stuck behind the big red bus after all) the next vehicle was a bright yellow City Link van. When it rains…it pours.
No bin men were going to ruin this one!

A orderly queue of suitors arrived in the unlikely event that Brett made a break for it

Like Lotso…just give him a hug!
Not entirely sure why he’s breathing the sigh of relief. He’s not the one who just got married!
Painshill or Mississippi?

Sit Ubu sit…good dog

Apparently her.

Phwoah…if one can actually say that about a dinner space
