Wedding Photographer London – Lisa and Michael
ByLondon weddings always scare me. Ok…not really. But its that moment when you let go of your own transport and turn to public transport that things start to scare me. Like last year when the tube was closed when I was trying to get to Pimlico. Hence why I arrived an hour early to make a 3 mile taxi journey. Shame I didnt look at the map in terms of walking and not in driving as it wasn’t more than 20 minutes. Duh!
Friday’s wedding was always going to be unique. I wasn’t disappointed.. I would travel to 3 venues by taxi and boat. Its a far cry from my barn experiences. Everything went along smoothly…a little too smoothly. Then we boarded the boat. By then it was too late to mention I get seasick. Thankfully the boat trip from Orleans House to The Wharf only encountered a Force 2. What made the boat trip really unique was that we were going to be having speeches. I imagined each speech would start off with sometime nautical. “Women and children first” or “I’m the king of the world” or “We’re going to need a bigger boat”. Sadly none happened. My days as a speechwriter are surely numbered.
Eventually we saw land…the Thames is big you know…and the baying cannibals rushed off. A narrow escape me thinks. Lucky for them a tasty bit of beef awaiting them at The Wharf, Teddington. Speaking of which…wow…great food. Shame its an hour from home. I would love to pop in there on a quiet weekend.
Thanks to Lisa and Michael — a referral from Cara and Alex (where were you?) — have a great honeymoon in FLA.

Michael’s mum is a quiet woman. The very heartfelt thank you from him meant she had to adopt a credible position — IOW, she’s the one with her hands over her eyes
She managed to convince us she WASN’T getting a sneak preview and her laugh was exceedingly credible

Never trust a best man who makes a speech with half of his body out the escape door
