Portrait Photographer Petersfield – Alek and Alva
ByThe phone rings this morning at 9:30. “Hi Rob, it Phil. Change of plan, we can make it today. Can we come round at 1?”. “Sure”…such is a life of a portrait photographer with foreign clients and weather forecast that could only make a pig happy. So it was the return of Alek, this time with his little sister, Alva. It was four years ago when they first came round I was pleased to see that Alek is a cheeky today as he was back then. Full of smiles and laughter only now with the 6 going on 15 vocabulary. I know, Evan is 4 going on 15. So off we went to the woods near Hill Brow to see what the photo god would dish up for us.
Working with kids…especially small ones is a challenge on time. Get them in a good mood and hope it lasts. There is only so much you can do in a short space of time before the attention and being in the same place takes its toll. But Alva was (is) a sweetie even if she did look at me on more than one occasion with “yeah…whatevah” in her eyes. So she’s 1 going on 15. Go figure!

You’ve done it again!!! For photos like these we would travel from the other side of the world. Thank you for squeezing us in to your busy schedule and thank you for rising to the challenge of photographing our family. We all feel so relaxed when you’re the one behind the camera.
We can’t wait to see the full set! Hope to see you a little bit sooner next time!
