Evan and Holly’s Dad’s Blog

Hi and welcome to my blog. Filled with images from my recent weddings, engagement shoots, portrait sessions and corporate work. Most importantly its a window into my world...a world where family takes an upper hand and I have the images to prove it. Hopefully you'll take a few minutes to browse and once addicted set the blog as a bookmark. If you have any comments please feel free to add them or just get in touch.

For The Record: The images that I put on the blog from recent weddings may not always be the best or even ones you might expect. They are things that I saw, that I like that I want to share. Sometimes they are part of a quirky story or show a tender or ironic side to a wedding.

Tithe Barn Wedding Photographer – Roz and Joe

By Rob

Getting a sense of Deja Vu?  I am.

I’m rushing to get this out.  I’m on Daddy Duty tomorrow.  Nicola is away with her sister and mum at something called a Spa?  Never heard of it myself, but apparently its rather fun.  Moving swiftly along.

Roz and Joe’s wedding at Tithe Barn (one of 7 or 8 this year) has convinced me that I owe it to my future Tithe Barn-ians to offer up some sound advice in how to make the barn look a) fantastic and b) wonderful for photographs.   I wouldn’t do it other venues but one of the USP’s of TB is that in a lot of ways its a blank canvas.  Get out the wrong paint and you could be in trouble.  I hasten to point out there is no real wrong way…just ways that work better for dragging the best images out of the barn.  So if you are a client (and if you’re not, why, and no, its only available to my exclusive club…we even have a Nectar-esque type point scheme, so don’t ask) get in touch.

EDITED SINCE I PUBLISHED…PLEASE READ. You know when you wake up and you think about what you said and realise “holy cow, that could be taken the wrong way”!  So I’m going to rephrase the first sentence to the last paragraph:

“Roz and Joe’s wedding at Tithe Barn (one of 7 or 8 this year) has convinced me that I owe it to my future Tithe Barn-ians to offer up some sound advice in how to make the barn look a) fantastic and b) wonderful for photographs.  Mainly because after seeing what they did and relating this to all of my other experiences they got it SPOT ON!”

So what I saying was “great setup, let’s make sure everyone else knows”.  End of grovelling (but for the record, no one mentioned it, I just didn’t like it when I re-read it.
