At the Park — Not Gorky I Hasten to Add

John and Jane Doe at The Place We Don’t Mention
Posted by: | CommentsIts all anonymous this week. So short, sweet and to the point. Sensitivity issues prevent me from showing faces but it doesn’t stop me from being creative.

Even after a faceplant I was quick to see the opportunity ahead of me…ok, the faceplant was a fib

OK…I’ve done it before but you try to fill a blog post with no faces!
Let’s sway under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
Da Do Run Run Run Da Do Run Run
Posted by: | CommentsSince 2006 (apart from a break last year…she was pregnant, give the girl a break) Nicola has taken part in the Great South Run. Our interest in our chose charity is very personal. Many years ago, in a galaxy…OK Surrey…our brother-in-law, Nicola’s sister’s husband, was diagnosed with Leukaemia. First…you can always spot someone who knows something about the leukaemia because they can actually spell the damn condition. But aside from that it was a terrible few years for everyone. Him, his family, our family, his wife and his one year old son. Under the care and guidance of Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital Malcolm made a full recovery. He’s been on the all clear status for over 5 years now. Amazing really considering the situation.
So…why do I mention it…well, you’ve probably already guessed why. Money…cash…moola…spare change. If all of my blog stalkers (Helen, Roz, the PTA) donated say…£3, we’d be doing something great. So I encourage to take a moment and follow the link below to Nicola’s Just Giving site.

BTW…she ran it this year in a personal best of 1:23:00. Her first run was 1:23:37. So 3 years and another baby did little to slow her down!
Nicola and her personal trainer…Evan
Rob gets arty — its very boring in between those 7 second cheer sessions!
Nicola and friends Vicki and Debs
SO…you’ve seen the evidence…you’ve seen the time (amazing). If you don’t donate NOW I’m sending HIM (below) after you!
Give’em your money and I won’t break your legs
Video Workshop
Posted by: | CommentsThis will probably really grate some of my photographer colleagues, but I’m going to plug a wee video workshop run by my good friends Sylvia and Niels from Ever After Video Productions. Why? Well, we all know that videographers are CRAZY. They’re impossible to work with and leave tripods laying around all over the place. WELL….not all of them. In fact, everyone you find on my list of great wedding suppliers are all top notch. So wouldn’t it be great if there were mo better videos (sorry Spike). So I decided if you can’t beat’em, join’em. So next February, in the foothills of the Black Mountains I’ll be the resident photographer and general bad guy (oh yes, videographers think the same things about us as we do about them) and join in the ‘education’. No, not as a videographer, but as a photographer and how videographers can work well with photographers…in all honesty, I’m pretty easy to work with. So, if by participating I open the door to a few new videographers who have more respect of the still framed friends I reckon I will have acheived my goal.
