Cherkley Court – Engagement Photography – Nicola and Steve
ByOK…strictly speaking this ISN’T engagement photography. A proper engagement shoot would be about 1.5 to 2 hours…so 12 minutes hardly constitutes an engagement session. But 12 minutes is what we had and 12 minutes is what we did. It was kind of cool to see what we could get in a limited time span…especially considering they had only just met me for the first time. Normally, on a wedding day, both bride and groom are used to be photographed either through preparations or the ceremony or etc etc. So to turn up, how you doing and shoot is pretty daunting.
BTW, this was shot at a new venue (well, 3 years old) called Cherkley Court. Sorry, the building isn’t 3 years old…its really old, but its in its third season as a wedding and events venues. Pretty sweet!
The sun was at it worst…directly overhead…but I got some stuff I was pleased with.

Couldn’t decide which one I liked best…so here are two. Amazed at how much brighter the reflection is compared to the actual subjects

What was funny about this room is that its just a passage way. The coordinator thought I was made to use it…but there was a viewing going on in the rest of the house. So Lin…whatcha reckon?
