3 Things
By6 weeks into Holly’s life and I can conclusive say that there are 3 things that she can do rather well. Eat, sleep and cry. I must say that if I were to order these from what she’s best at to worst it would be cry, eat, sleep. Yep…the 6 week baby blues are here and we’re both a bit fed up. We felt the same way with Evan. Folks in our baby group 4 weeks ahead just kept saying “it gets better”. They were right and that is what keeps you going. Its not like I can blame it on being tired. We get plenty of sleep at night. Its just when she’s awake (and that’s a bit more than she should be as she’s the queen of the cat nap) she mostly…well….cries. So roll on 10 to 12 weeks. When smiles are more than just wind and a giggle can melt your heart.
Some folks might be thinking..”he’s gone quiet”. Yep! After our drama weekend I went on a 4 day course with some amazing photographers. No sooner than I got home we were off to Dorset for a family weekend. We didn’t get home until late Monday and with so much to catch up on (plus a wee jaunt to Bucks to do some mind melding with some of my favourite friends and photographers) its been hard to think about blogging. Oh…and there the matter of going back for an ultrasound to see if Nicola is OK. Sadly there’s still stuff there so on Monday we’re back for a 7:30am start at the day surgery. (which reminds me, Madeline and Miles’ blog post won’t go on until Tuesday) So we’re full tilt.

This is perhaps the only shot I could really call my own from the workshop/seminar. The reason I know this is entirely mine is because, at the time, I was supposed to be using off camera flash and…well…I didn’t. The lengths I go to eh?

No, he doesn’t have mammoth sized chicken pox, it was red nose day

I love lying with black and white…it was actually quite sunny, bright and blue skies..go figure!

It took me 2 years to get a decent shot of the grandkids…but before it was ‘developed’ it was already out of date

Seconds later he paid me back in kind…all over the car window

The boy wonders
